Philosophy is knowledge about the most basic things, with the most work behind it. It's not a profession, title, degree or status, it's not a discipline or field, and it's not a style, form or medium.
Philosophy is about questioning everything, but it's also about finally choosing your own answer about what's good, bad, true and false, and ending the otherwise endless questioning. It's not about the technicalities around the ideas, it's about the actual ideas. It's about having an opinion.
Some days philosophy is about simplifying knowledge of a complex world to more easily do things in it - a practical tool to use in your daily life. Other days it's the intrinsic search for knowledge - a thing worth spending your time on for its own sake. And at other times philosophy is simply about saying cool things about the world, as an artform in itself.
