Golden email #10: Productivity 2.0
Producivity sounds like a business thing, but I just think it's the most meaningful way to live life. I've learned some techniques for getting more out of my time, and now I can feel in my veins when something is truly meaningless to do. The most meaningful time for me have been to think about how to solve really hard problems, as hard as possible, or when I create something out of only pure joy. Everything else is just... As soon as there's a machine that can do this, I will let it do it, that's how I feel.
I listened to all podcasts with MrBeast to learn how he's so productive (he produces like, orphanages), and the most crucial point seems to be to do things with other people.
List of productive things, from very productive to pretty productive:
1. Collaborate
2. Do/make
3. Read
The least productive thing is to read tweets, and doing things that aren't really really really fun. All kinds of rest and mundane tasks are more productive than that.
In my last text about productivity, and in my golden email about "viewing yourself from an outside perspective" I wrote about focusing, taking breaks and then coming back. To avoid that period where you're really tired of the project. Do two projects in parallell or something. I still believe this, but my updated take is to just do it much longer. Like 3 years breaks.
Other productive things: Realizing and believing that you actually can do impressive things. And having no slow computer programs.
