G.I.R.L. - Galactic International Raceway for Live entertainment

VERSION 3

A system for
100% uptime & fast access in all parts of the world
for the game This Is (NOT!) A Car Club

G.I.R.L. is:
1. Neocities CDN
2. Github Pages CDN
3. Cloudflare DNS servers
4. Bahnhof DNS server (+ monitoring the other servers?)
5. Ucklum server monitoring the other servers

kbz.se is stored on two separate CDNs ("Content Delivery Networks") (#1: Neocities CDN, with 15 servers. #2: Github Pages CDN, with ~45 servers. So it's stored on around 60 servers around the world), both listed in my DNS records with their separate IP addresses. When you enter "kbz.se" in your web browser, it will automatically choose one of the CDNs at random from the DNS records, and will redirect to the other one if one of them has gone offline. I also have multiple (at least two) DNS servers in at least two different countries. (100% uptime)

The CDNs give the users faster access, by automatically serving content from the server closest to the users, compared to if everyone would have to download the site from my server in Sweden. Each CDN chooses from its own set of servers, so you may not always get the absolutely closest server, but you will probably get the closest server of the CDN you use. The servers are also less likely to get clogged up and slow by too many requests, because the site visits are distributed across many different servers. (fast access in all parts of the world)

I bet on the principles: Two of everything (preferably in two different countries, on two different continents, by two different organizations), notifications to my phone if something stops working, and that I'll have the time to fix it before both things break.
